National Geographic Young Explorers Grants

Enhancing our efforts to foster the next generation of researchers, explorers, and conservationists, National Geographic now provides seed grants to individuals ages 18 to 25 in the fields it has a rich history of supporting, including archaeology and anthropology. Young Explorers Grants provide the opportunity for many recipients to pursue some of their first experiences carrying out fieldwork and exploration. Grant amounts generally range between US $2,000 and $5,000. Funding is not restricted to U.S. citizens, and foreign nationals are invited to apply. Please allow a minimum of five months before your field departure date for the complete application process and final notification.
